Some practices are able to use their calling number as their texting number, but it depends on whether the number is eligible to hosted for texting by Archy. We can check this for you upon request. If you would like to use your main practice number as your texting number, reach out to support@archy.com to start the process.
Here is what the process looks like:
- Check to see if your number is eligible. If text messaging is already enabled for this phone number by another provider, you may have to reach out to that provider to release the number for messaging.
- If your number is eligible to be hosted for messaging, you will receive a Letter of Authorization to sign via email. This letter must be signed within 7 days or it will fail.
- Next, your number will be processed for authorization with your phone carrier.
- Finally, we will add your calling number to your Archy account. You will now be able to send outbound and receive inbound messages using this number.
This process may take up to two weeks to complete.
