Authenticate Your Email Domain

Archy requires practices to use their own domain in order to send emails to their patients. Inbox Service Providers (ISPs) like Google, Yahoo, Hotmail, and others use security processes and protocols to help filter malicious users and spam.

Note: You cannot authenticate email addresses for public email services like Gmail, Yahoo, or others, so you’ll need to have a business-specific domain.

Go to Settings - Communications - Authentication.

Go to Settings -> Communications -> Authentication.

Enter your Domain Name and click Generate.

Enter your Domain Name and click Generate.

After you click Generate, this will reveal the codes that you’ll need to copy and add to your domain’s DNS configuration.

In the preceding records,
  • The number "10" listed along with the MX value is the preference order for the mail server and will need to be entered into a separate field as specified by your DNS provider's GUI
  • The TXT value has to include the quotation marks

Depending on which DNS provider you use, the steps to create these records will vary. If you don’t know how your domain is managed, reach out to your IT support person or team for help. Your email domain will be authenticated as soon as Archy can confirm your records are updated and correct.

Once you have added the codes to your domain’s CNAME records, click Verify.

This typically takes up to 48 hours to complete. If verification is successful, you’ll see Verified next to your DNS records in your Archy Authentication Settings.

Note: If you are experiencing problems, reach out to your domain provider’s help site for tips on how to manage your DNS records in their service.
